I have been putting this off for a couple of years, but it's time for me to move on. I haven't touched the car since we bought a house and my interest has waned pretty strongly lately. Most of you know the car from it's ill-fated build thread from way back and the work that has been put into it. The G13B is gone and the Porsche transaxles are going to another forum user soon.
Lots of sheet metal work has been done to fix the worst of the rot, but there is plenty left still to do. Some of the previous owners work leaves something to be desired, unfortunately. Car is probably best suited to be a autocrosser or racer of some sort. I have paperwork for the car.
I have front suspension with lowering block, shocks, brakes, and fresh kingpins. Two pairs of rear trailing arms, one complete with brakes. All glass is intact, windshield has a big chip and some delamination around the edges. Have good set of doors. Rear valence is haggard.
False firewall is gone and there's a large hole where the Porsche 901 5 trans was living. I do not have an 850 engine or trans for the car, nor do I have bumpers or any other brightwork besides the rear quarter window trim. Have gauge cluster safely set aside.
Car has been in dry storage, just rolled it outside for pictures.
Hoping to get around $800 for the shell with all of the remaining 850 parts I have. It could easily be brought back by parting out a rusty spider, or body swap it onto a beetle pan, or? I will cut some off the price if it's going to the Challenge.
Car is in Vancouver, WA. We could totally make it a roller in an afternoon to ease transport.
If that were East Coast I'd have to consider using it as the basis for a smart car drive train transfusion. No, seriously.
Just like the 1969 i use to have! It rusted out faster than old sardine cans. I blew the head gasket in it 3 times before it got sorted out. Just not meant for 70 mph cruise on the highway. And i still loved the car!??! Still have the engine and transaxle from it if anyone is interested.

It makes me more than a bit sad to see this little guy end up on the block. Sorry life intruded on the build. All that work (!) and some of the best fabrication I've seen on the forums. Good luck with the sale. Hope the next owner appreciates all the work you did.... :)
In reply to vwcorvette :
I was thinking the same thing.

What about a utv conversion like that alpha, but with real suspension on it.
Hrrmm...intriguing. I love little cars, I love Italian vehicles, and I’m bored of my AE86. Sometimes I think about something more vintage and I’m local. As ever, space and my existing projects present a couple of hurdles to taking on something new.
I reread the build thread again today for informational purposes only of course. Here's where this one comes in if anyone is interested.

It's been a while since I have scrolled through that thread. There's some work I am still proud of in there, and of course other stuff that is almost cringey. Great memories of working on the car late into the night and drinking beer with my buddy David, who now has two kids and lives 1.5 hours away. Good times.
This is still in my way and I am getting increasingly tired of working around it. It could be yours for almost literally any sum of money.

Damn it man, I was hoping for a "SOLD" post. Any chance of it fitting on a large pallet?
In reply to Stampie :
That would be a fairly large pallet, but you could probably squeeze the car into a 5'x12' square. These cars are a bit larger than their Fiat 600 brothers, and I think the Coupe might be the biggest of the 850 based cars (with the exception of the 850T).
In reply to Ethnic Food-Wrap Aficionado :
Yeah wishful thinking. Doubt I could get you to deliver for a bottle of whiskey or 5? Hopefully someone nearby will take her on. I have such evil thoughts of a LS4 back there.
Very tentatively spoken for. Possibly going back to live at it's previous home, three (four?) owners back.

Sorta like ex-wives...there's a reason they're an ex.
In reply to Ethnic Food-Wrap Aficionado : Is your Sport Coupe still available or gone? I am interested in a DXF copy of your adapter plate. Thanks, Ted totsfiat@gmail.com
