This has to be fairly rare - Rambler Rebel SST - NMNA

I never knew such a thing existed. Ad doesn't spec SST, but the badge is there. Supposed to be nearly rust-free too.

I remember these when I was in high school. There was an AMC dealer  belonged to the same  VFW post my father belonged to. We bought 3 new cars from him over the years.

The rebel was a midsize car like the Ford Fairlane and came in both a 4dr and 2dr version. I also believe that there was a station wagon too?  AMC did try to join the performance crowd a bit later with their "Rebel Machine" with is rare and is coveted by AMC fans today.  

IF the car is complete and not rusty it may be worth something close to the asking price.  But I can see some rust in the leading edge of the hood. I would be there is more rust hidden inside doors, rockers, etc.  The problem today is that many people think that just because it's old it's worth. Old doesn't make it valuable. How desirable  and in demand  a vehicle is will do that. 

Ask yourself, when was the last time you heard someone say, " I just got to find me an AMC Rebel?". 

It would make  a cool "resto mod" though if it is a solid as the sell says.  

Don't see the SST grill emblem and can't see if the scoops in front of the rear wheels are there so might just have a trunk emblem. They do make cool out of the ordinary restomod/Pro touring type cars though.

Here's the nicest one I've seen and you certainly couldn't even just restore the white one for what this red one sold for since it was listed for 20,000.00 and probably sold for less. This. There's a Rebel like this one- manual, no engine or trans- in KC that i'd like to buy if the owner wasn't asking over 4K. Just because it's rare doesn't mean it's good.
