That is oddly appealing, but not sure it's something I would necessarily want.
I do question the engine choice. A 4BT or a Detroit Diesel 2 stroke (4-71, 6v71 or similar) would have been a more fitting choice to match the appearance.

I'm pretty sure the hood ornament would hit the opening of my current garage.
Yeah, I think that the engine choice makes no sense: tunnel ram 327.
A 250 straight six would probably make more torque at the idle to 2500 range that would be appropriate for a truck.
Kind of reminds me of a guy back home. Took a Deuce and a half, removed one axle then bobbed it and modified the bed to fit.
Loved that truck.

This is the only time when I'd daily that considering my morning commute is down the stairs to the basement office!
Someone did something similar only on a really short wheelbase around here.
It was up on Craigslist..... something else I missed sadly

Yeah, but when my "commute" is driving a few miles to the grocery store and back once a week or so, who cares. I've always wanted an engine with a tunnel ram.
The rag joint does look like it needs to be replaced, but not a big deal otherwise.
My inner 12 year old loves this.
Being into stuff like this, I've seen a couple, and hope to find one to do that with, one day. This was before people were swapping 10 lug 22.5's, so they were a bit more street friendly. 36's were bad enough. Prolly worth that to someone that doesn't want to build their own, but too rich for my income these days!
A diesel would be way cool, but remember, its required to use a SBC in any mod... He just didn't want to get arrested by the bow-tie police! (guess its LS now...)
Looked into a 4BT for my COE, but found out they are not as... well anything... as the 6BT big brother. I plan on a 3 or 4-53 (71 is too tall) after being around a guy that has swapped a bunch of old school Driptroits.
Even a 3-53T turned up properly would either twist up that frame, or destroy those axles.
Had a 1948 Reo 1 1/2 ton dump truck back in 1973.
It was so seriously cool. No power brakes. No power steering so the steering wheel was like 24" in diameter. The six cylinder engine had to have weighed more than my VW.
Of course it was painted a bright metallic purple. Had to let it go to a collector because finding a place to park it became a hassle at the time. Wish i had it now. One of the great ones that got away.

A good friend was driving a old Diamond T in mid 80's. That BIG gas 6 would out pull all the 10 wheel Ford dumps his dads company had. Toped out at 53 MPH, but WOW it had GRUNT!
Where were ya living back then? I see you're just a bit east of what we affectionately call LA (Lover Alabama), so not to far from me (just west on Dothan)
In reply to 03Panther: North of Tallahassee, south of Georgia. Was on Lake Seminole all day today (closer to you).
I love Mack B models. Especially resto-modded modern day usable ones. But this doesn't do it for me. Some of the details just look wrong, especially the tacky and cheap naked lady chrome pep boys bling on the front. All I can think is "oh, that poor Mack."
