Miles is indeed the man. The clutch linkage came in and fixed the pedal problem 100%. It now goes into gear while running just fine. Amazing.
It is now running and drivable though I haven’t driven it yet it’s still on jack stands and I need to go to sleep. It’s also still for sale and the price has not gone up for you folk. I’m going to keep polishing the turd a bit with mounting the snow tires and putting in the better headlight and ask more on Craigslist. If anyone here comes through first though...
Damnit, you weren't supposed to make it drivable, much less drivable and the same price.
Sub $50 plane ticket to columbus doesn't help anything....
This is such a bad time of year for me to make bad decisions.
Like the bad decision of not buying this??!
Egggzactly.
In my mind, sweet full, frame manual, great first car for the boys. Lift or lower, decent on gas, useful, 4wd.
My wife, blah blah blah old blah blah more cars blah blah kids are 12 blah blah Christmas blah blah $$$$.
So many cars so little time!
I finally broached the subject with the wife.... it is gone, right?
NO it is still here, and I just posted about car # 6 whispering in my ear. How can I put you in this Sidekick today?
my user name at gmail.com .. or just post here. It's gotta go. If it's still here as I have time, I'm hoping to put the better headlight in and swap the tires and post on Craigslist for $1500 hoping for $1200. I'd rather do none of that and sell it to you for $800. Have anything else you'd trade to get that price down? Preferably smaller than a car?
In reply to dculberson :
I got nothing of value.... unless you want a coolant passage corroded shiny aluminum sbc carb'd intake. Maybe a trashed SBC starter for a manual trans. Oh, and a Derale 700R4 trans pan. That is, literally, all the spare stuff I have. Wait..... one more two stripped 73-87 rust-ish free front doors.
But seriously, let me talk to the wife tonight. I thought it was gone already...
Too bad this wasnt closer to NJ, itd be sold :(
