Same thing. LeCar was what they named the R5 for US consumption.
That's about $600 more than they're worth.

I remember them way back when, although never paid 'em much attention.
Always thought the "Le Car was a cute/good marketing gimmick!
Looked up some specs - never heard of the "front mid" setup... but would be an interesting toy.
Apparently, made them fairly competitive in some racing.
