Some serious potential here. Price is decent.
Bill of sale, which is a pain, but for Georgia I think its normal to get a title with that.

Titles are not required in Georgia for vehicles 1985 or older, but you will need to provide the Bill of Sale when you register the car in your name, so be sure to take it with you to your local County Tag Office's Office. If the car is newer than 1985, a title is required.
am i having a Rip Van Winkle moment?
did i fall asleep and wake up twenty years later to find that
gutless, dangerous hippie-vans were somehow worth any money?
much less 8000 Bucks for a
"look what i found at my dead Uncles barn "
still for sale, and i betcha its gonna be for sale for a Looooong time...

Doubt it. Its only lightly overpriced based on the market for them right now.

I think you do have a bit of a disconnect in value. Hippie vans are worth a ton.
Yeah sadly thats what people are paying for these. I remember when I paid $1600 for a full pop top westfalia fully restored back in the late 90s. If I had known how stupid the market would have gotten I'd have held on to that for dear life. Seen similar ones going in the high 20s now.
Funny thing with air cooled VWs that I just dont get with this market. What made them popular is they were a cheap car that a below average mechanic could keep on the road. Remove cheap and they really aren't all that. They are not terribly reliable, fast, fun or anything like that. For the prices they command now there are so many better vehicles I'd rather play with, but I guess nostalgia has a price and with ACVWs its a big one.
