I remember that from the Highwayman. Way out of my budget but I love it.
I just sent a picture of this to my son yesterday and told him it's a good thing I don't have an extra $65K laying around.
That would make an awesome camper conversion base. The price seems a bit exorbatant for that but very cool. I wold love to see under the fiberglass on that truck to see how they did the controls.

It looks to me like an S10 cab welded to the front of an airplane tug with some custom fiberglass. Ie, amazing!
I love it , but if it was made for the studios it was made quick and cheap ,
and costing $500,000 back then is just crazy in 1982 dollars,

I agree on the S10 and the shape says tug but the axles say Class 8 truck. Look, no planetaries and regular front and rear heavy truck wheels and hubs.
I think you need the Testerossa fins to cool the big engine behind you.
