I'm going to look at the car tomorrow. I used to part these cars out years ago but they were under $500. Not sure what they are worth now.

What I've got from pics and ad so far:

Engine rotates but hasn't run in years

After market wheels (They look familiar but can't recall the brand) with supposedly new tires.

Seats and door cards look decent.

Ad says 71 1.7lt but pics show 75/76 bumpers so could be 1.8 or 2.0 (will have to check engine code and placement).  Could be later tranny if it is 75/76.

Any ideas ? WWGRMP?

What sort of rust issues does it have?  With covid pricing I'd take your floor and double it.  People are being crazy with project prices right now

In the last year I've bought three. Paid $1,100 for a pair that were complete, but had been sitting outside for years and had no title. They had been on Craigslist for over a month at $1,500 with no offers before I saw them. One is very repairable and the other has serious rust, but not worse than some of the rotisserie projects on 914 Word. The third was $2,000 on Facebook. complete with title and plenty of good extra parts, but not run for a few years. Will probably run with rebuilt/cleaned carbs and fresh gas, Rust about a 7 on a 1-10 scale, 10 being worst. I feel that I overspent on that one, but it came with some stuff that I wanted.

Looking at 914World, California is a very different market than the rest of the US, so value and condition get skewed.

If you are in the northeast, grab it and head to Porsches @ Carlisle next weekend to sell it.

Based on all the 914s I've seen in the northeast, probably not worth repairing.
