If anyone is interested in these projects or can suggest an auction website please let me know. I can field only preliminary questions to a point but can get more info.

I drove to Jacksonville (and back Tuesday in 12 hours) to buy some Dallara parts from this guy. He has too many projects and wants to simplify his life (sound familiar). He's only keeping his Dallara X1/9 project. The seller is a super nice guy from South Africa and operates a business in Jacksonville.

All are projects, and in pieces. Most are in the Jacksonville Fl. area but the GTV6 is in Washington state. I absolutely have no pony in this race.

1953 Morgan Plus 4 - Mostly disassembled

1969 Volvo P1800S - Also in parts, all new interior

1983 GTV6 - $30k so far in resto, 4k, close ratio tranny, Washington state.

1973 Volvo 1800ES Wagon - unrestored

1973 VW Fastback- Didn't see but running two years ago, about to be painted

1974, I think, Wide fenders,five lug axles

I saw the two Volvos and 914. The 1800s shell looks pretty good, lots of work. Would love to have this or the 914 as a project. The wagon needs a full resto, not sure about the 914 condition as it was in a corner and I was in a rush - but damn, it's a widebody.

Bear with me if the communications are awkward as I'm not really sure how this will pan out but we shall see.

In reply to Hasbro (Forum Supporter) :

I don't suppose he'd sell that Morgan for somewhere around Challenge budget?

I really doubt it. It's a complete parts project. I haven't asked him about prices but think he wanted to have the auction site handle things instead of fielding from single buyers. I just thought maybe someone on here would want a first shot.

I'll see if I can get some pics tomorrow.

Is his first name by any chance Derrick?

The guy I learned them furrin' cars from back in the early 80's bought his GTV6 back in 84... still has it; along with other collectable Alfas, I don't know if he will ever finish. He's in VA, but would be a good source of where to get top dollar for it. I'd love it, but even as an unfinished project, I couldn't come close.

The wide body 914 sounds interesting. And I'm only 2 hours away with a trailer!

Careful, a wide body does not stop rust.

How well was the wide body conversion done?

You got me excited for a second for the Volvo 1900 but they didn't make them in the 60's. Only 1956-1957. So I assume you mean the 1800S which is still cool.

what color is the 1973 1800ES and does it have the title?

Sorry, been super busy. Last day of the month AND year. TGInotF, also.

His name is Peter, not Derrick.

The Morgan is going to BAT. I was surprised they took it but it is a roller.

1800, not 1900, fixed typo. The ES is that typical gold/brown. It has rust and needs a full resto. I just walked by it pretty quickly but can get more info. The 69 1800S shell appears to be fully cleaned up, no rust and ready to be prepped for paint. Wish I could swing this one.

I didn't get a good look at the 914 but if he had flares put on I'll wager he's cleaned the rest of it up but can inquire. Wish I could swing this one, too.

Pretty sure all cars have all the parts.

I'll check tomorrow. He seems pretty amenable so far even though he was initially just interested in auctioning.

Sorry, been really busy. If anyone is interested in a specific car just let me know. They are in a few locations and Peter will go snap some pics.

The only one I saw very well was the 1969 Volvo P1800S. The shell looked completely restored, but not painted yet. Wish I had snapped some pics but didn't have my mask with me so stayed away.

The Morgan goes on BAT towards the end of this month.

I'm curious about the 914 and am fairly close to Jax.

While projects have been on BaT, they don't seem to sell for top dollar. Granted, projects rarely do - especially if disassembled.

For the two 1800's, I'd say regular old eBay and a willingness to coordinate overseas shipping. Those are REALLY popular in Europe, rust be damned. Definitely the ES. Someone in Europe may buy the ES and have it shipped directly to a restoration shop in Eastern Europe somewhere.

Fortunately, I don't need any more projects...

You will need a title to export them.... but they are your best customers....
