I'm usually not a Jaguar guy, but those are some good suggestions.
Now if only I could find an Mk2 ragtop...
Once you start talking XK series (XK.120 XK. 140 XK150 really nice solid ones quickly get over $100,000 And can sell for more than double that to the right buyer with the right provenance The right very early all aluminum body XK 120's are in or near the $300,000 number. There are 2 XK 120 competition's that probably are well over $500,000 by now.Not to be confused with the XK-C type which are $1 million + and D types are $5 million
The Drop head coupes of the XK 140 & XK 150 do have tiny back seats. Roll up windows, wood dash, and a convertible top. But even rough drivers will start well over $50,000 but make sure the top is in good condition. The drop head has an inner liner that really makes replacement hard/expensive.

I don't speak Jaguar. I'm sure there is some great info there, but you lost me.
You have the MK2, which was the more sedan-y car, which was available as a drophead. They might not be too affordable as a drophead.
The sportscars were the XK's
If you can afford an XK, I envy you.
(aside, man, black wire wheels are just teh sex...)
Its what you like SVRX, but I gotta just say how much I love a sedan MK2 done up in the vintage motorsport look.
Personally, make mine Dr. Who Tardis Blue, black wire wheels, and blank white rondels with maybe a few other tasteful stickers on the fenders... That said, I did add rondels to my bugeye as well as leather bonnet straps and raydot mirrors. I like how it makes it a bit racecar on the street.
This popped up somewhat local to me.
Seems like a decent thing for 10k.

I like that, but I know what my wife would say...
"It looks like a mafia hit waiting to happen!"
Well, its hard to beat a '32 Ford with a back seat IMHO. Or the Tudor sedan.

I'm in lust, and I'm not even looking for a hot rod!
Of course, if it were me, I'd combine a Factory 5 truck:
With a set of these:
Hold on tight kids, PapPap's leaving Cars and Coffee!

Haha!
Yes, I'm looking a lot at 30's Fords

Make sure you test sit them. Cars were a lot narrower way back then. I'd like to have one but my feet don't fit so well.

Good word
My ass is fairly narrow.

I was thinking the same thing, truck with jump seats, as the kids are NOT going to forget riding back there!

There is a yellow version of that floating around here someplace that I supplied the V12 for
In reply to CJ (He's Just an FS) :
