Car has been sold.

This car has been parked in my garage for too long, and it's time to move on. Frankly, I don't need something this practical anymore since I'd rather DD the 4Runner.

Price: $3500 (OBO) Mileage: 214,000

Recent Maintenance:

New cooling system (radiator, water pump, hoses, expansion tank, etc.)

PS Pump

Brake rotors & pads (ECS Rotors, Hawk HPS)

Front struts (Koni STR)

Springs replaced with OEM sport package

Catalytic converters replaced about 190,000 miles in with used parts (90k on cats). Exhaust replaced with lower mileage OEM due to cats chunking up and clogging muffler.

Oil pan gasket

VANOS Seal Rebuild

Engine & Transmission Mounts

Front guibo

Valve cover gasket & oil filter housing gasket

Every window regulator except the driver's, and I've got that one sitting in a box in case it's needed.

No body damage larger than a quarter, paint is in great shape for the age/mileage.

Interior has some cosmetic flaws typical to these cars. Headliner is starting to sag in the rear right corner, pillar covers are losing fabric. Engine is in great shape. Burns a slight amount of oil as M54s tend to do, but pulling the valve cover and oil pan to replace gaskets showed a great condition bottom and top end. No gunk in the pan or anything like that. I've had the car since 177k, and the first owner had it maintained by a dealer for the first 160k or so until it was sold.

I can be reached through PM here, or at eight1seven, seven9eight, five1three3.

Not knocking your ride, but I just wanted to show you this and this for a comparison

True, but that first one is a pre-facelift car. I'll lower the price a little to not seem so high, I just thought people on here might see the value in $3k of maintenance. That OBO is pretty soft, though.

Thanks for the feedback.

FWIW the silver coupe in the second link is sold as-is, where-is, and won't pass VA inspection.

unevolved, is your car a Sport Package car?

Negative, I couldn't find one that wasn't beat to E36 M3. I figure by this age, anything other than aesthetics that made a sport package special needs to be replaced anyways.

Mostly I agree with you, but the Sport Package seats are a very nice upgrade from the standard pieces. Thanks!

Oh yeah, good point. Forgot about the seats. Definitely better.

I looked for a while for a sport package 330i, but this one was so well cared for I didn't want to pass it up.

Looks nice, and I'm considering it for DD#2. Thanks for the info.

Any time. Let me know if I can answer any other questions. I'll try and put up some better pictures.

No mention of trans. I assume manual.

More (crappy) pictures added. Sorry for the low quality, I'm never home when the sun's up with daylight savings time. I'll try and get some better ones in the sun this weekend. Price dropped to $3800.

The E12 now has new rear tires and "better" used front tires, and I scored a low-mileage set of used Bilstein HD front strut inserts...

Due to some recent developments in our family, I'm more interested in an outright sale than a trade at this point. As much as I'd love to have an E30 or E12, I'm not sure it's smart right now.

You really should stop tempting me. I can't decide between a well cared for southern 325 or deal with possible rust on a northern 330.

There is zero rust on this car. It was bought new in Houston, and stayed there until I moved to DFW early this year. To tell you the truth, I'm not even sure it's ever LEFT the state.

Have you tried marketing this to the Spec e46 crowd? Seems like it would be a great start for a race car build.

We actually thought about building it as an SE46 car at work, but it doesn't seem like the market is there yet. Costs are roughly equivalent to building a Spec Boxster, but people aren't willing to pay much more than a Spec E30.

I've got it on E46Fanatics, but haven't had much luck.

I'm actually growing more interested in this car but I can't quite pull the trigger yet.
