Oh god, I even snagged a W.O. 5 speed... out of a junked Merkur 3 weeks ago! This REALLY isn't good.
Went to a job on cape cod a couple of weeks ago and there was a non running 88 sitting just outside the garage. It had not seen the road on 15 years. Dead battery, dried out tires, but otherwise a very clean car. It was silver with gray leather and a 5 speed. Had been stored in garage all those years and was put away with lots of mouse proofing traps, dryer sheets, bait, etc. I offered $1000 for it. Owner said he needed more than that.
Dunno, but there's a 1st gen Mercury Cougar near me that has been going up in price by $250 every few weeks.

I've done that before with success. We'll not exactly $50. Listed a car at $950 wanting $900. No bites. Relisted it at $1200 and sold for their first offer of $1000.

Stampie has the right answer. Sometimes it’s a matter of getting the price right for your buyer.
