With the 'custom' bodywork & Scimitar parts made of unobtainium, we know why it was parked.
are those fiberglass bodied? oof! just checked. they are. Then the windshield. I wonder if that was BL parts bin item. 
Otherwise cool if not very beautiful car. I've always liked the look.
Also just googled. Seems like a Ford parts bin special.
And based on a Daimler Dart chassis - not too many of those made IIRC.
Here's hoping someone brings it back to its former glory.
Yes, always liked these cars and very rare in LHD. Saw one a few months ago at a specialty import shop here in Maryland and I knew exactly what it was! Ford running gear relatively easy to find, was not aware it used Daimler Dart chassis, learn something new every day!

the scimitar has its own chassis, uses modified TR6 front suspension, body is eay to repair, windscreens still available. this would be a good project! i have one here in NZ with 302 ford engine! t5 trans and lsd goes great!
