Time to go to the distant future of 2010…which is now in the past?
While the chance to own a screen-used DeLorean from Back to the Future might be slim, this one might be the next best thing.
Billed as one of seven made, this DeLorean is noted to have been used to Promote Back to the Future Part II.
In addition to all the iconic features you’d expect to be included–Mr. Fusion power canister, flux capacitor and time circuitry–there’s a 2500W inverter and two 12-volt batteries located in the front truck that power special effects items like a fogger and neon lighting.
Power comes from a familiar, rear-mounted 2.8-liter V6 mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
Find this 1981 DeLorean DMC-12 for auction from Mecum on January 18 with an estimated value of $150,000 to $200,000.
