As Peter Brock once explained, without Bill Mitchell, the C2 Corvette may never have happened. Fitting then, that there was a C2 Corvette built specifically for Mitchell’s personal use–and it’s now for sale.

Powering this C2 is a 365-horsepower 327 V8 engine that’s mated to a 3-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission.

This Corvette also features brushed metal door cards, vent windows delete, air conditioning, power windows, AM/FM radio and “Soft Ray” tinted glass.

Find this 1964 Chevrolet Corvette “Bill Mitchell Styling Car” up for auction from Mecum Auctions. As a point of reference, Hagerty currently values a standard production C2 with the 365 horsepower 327 V8 in No. 1 condition at $87,400.

Why isn't that in the museum?

I know, right? It did spend some time in the collection of Bob McDorman, but yeah, not sure if I'd be comfortable driving it one the street.
