Noted Chevrolet car modifier Don Yenko prepared and raced this 1968 Chevrolet Corvette L88 Corvette in the 1968 24 Hours of Daytona, finishing fourth in class. He then took the Corvette to the 12 Hours of Sebring, where it set the GT-class lap record for the race.

Yenko shared the car in competition with two other notable drivers: Peter Revson, a two-time Formula 1 race winner, drove it in the 1968 Daytona 24. Pedro Rodriguez, another two-time F1 race winner, sat behind the wheel at Sebring.

The Chevrolet also comes with a “thick file of original paperwork,” which helps document the car’s storied history.

Find this 1968 Chevrolet Corvette L88 Convertible up for auction at Bonhams, with an estimated winning bid of $400,000-$600,000.
