Why just restore a car to its original condition when you could convert it into a period-correct race car? That seems to have been the idea behind this period-correct Ferrari Daytona racer.

Originally sold new in Italy, the Ferrari was brought to its current Group 4 specification in the early 2000s.

Modifications include a full FIA roll cage, trunk-mounted FIA fuel cell, period-correct plexiglass headlight covers, high compression pistons and even a hand-formed cold air intake plenum.

Accompanied by FIA papers and “select records,” this 1971 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona is available from Fantasy Junction for $725,000.
