Most cars that burn to the ground don’t get a happy ending. This Maserati, though, looks to be the rare exception.

Originally finished with an Allemano body as a Berlina A6G 2000/C, the car’s body “burned completely” after delivery to its first owner. In 1995, a collector bought the chassis and mated it to an original A6 Zagato body.

Currently styled after the car Stirling Moss drove in the 1956 Mille Miglia, the car would go on to compete in the 2017 and 2020 Mille Miglia.
