It’s easy to see what makes this Ferrari 250 GT LWB Berlinetta special. It was delivered new in the striking combination of Oro Chiaro over Bordeaux leather. However, that’s just the surface of what makes this car unique.

The Ferrari is also just one of only 28 single-louver, covered-headlight examples. But, its history makes it even more exceptional.

Ferrari built the car for two-time Italian National Road Racing Champion Casimiro Toselli. Toselli then did what any race car driver would do with a Ferrari: He competed with it. Toselli won the Aosta-Pila Hillclimb. Later on, Ugo Tosa and Silvano Turco took this Ferrari to a third-place class finish in the 1960 World Sportscar Championship at the 1000km in Buenos Aires.

Find this 1958 Ferrari 250 GT LWB Berlinetta ‘Tour de France’ by Scaglietti for auction at RM Sotheby’s, with an estimated value of $3,500,000-$4,500,000.
