What car is befitting for John Frankenheimer, the director of the 1966 film “Grand Prix?” This 1969 Ferrari 365 GT 2+2.

When Frankheimer bought the car, he requested that the gauges read in imperial units. The speedometer, however, does read in km/h. It is believed to be original as the famed director intended to drive it in Europe.

The car was largely only driven during its first six years, with the seller noting that the roughly 1500 kilometers (less than 1000 miles) on the car to be “plausible” as original.

Find this 1969 Ferrari 365 GT 2+2 up for auction at Artcurial, with an estimated value of €170,000-€210,000 (about $179,000-$222,000 USD).
