Only two AC Aces entered the 1956 Sebring 12 Hour, but only one–chassis No. AE90–would qualify, start and finish the race. (4th in its class and 18th overall, no less.)

This is that very car.

In the early ‘60s, the Ace’s factory inline-six engine was replaced with the 215 cubic-inch Buick V8 engine currently in the car.

A comprehensive restoration was completed in 2009 that saw the AC fitted with Weber carbs, Pertronix ignition, a new wiring harness, rechromed bumpers and Dayton wire wheels.
