The 911 wasn’t the only Porsche product back in the day to receive a special version built specifically to go racing. Meet the 914/6 M471 special equipment package.

Offered by Porsche to homologate the 914/6 for SCCA C Production racing, the M471 package included modifications like wide fenders front and rear plus 15x6-inch Fuchs alloys.

In addition to being previously owned by a number of notable Porsche employees like Erich Strenger, Paul-Ernst Strähle and Gerhard Blendstru, the 914/6 also spent time as a demonstrator and even a camera car for filming commercials.

Find this 1971 Porsche 914/6 available from RM Sotheby’s as part of its upcoming Amelia Island auction.
