What’s more desirable, a car that raced at Le Mans or a car that appeared in the film “Le Mans?” Well, this Chevron B16 has done both.

One of three examples to compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1970, the car would go on to be purchased by Steve McQueen’s production company and be fitted with a BMW engine to ensure it was reliable enough to be filmed for as long as possible.

According to the seller, the car has been professionally reassembled and now sports an FIA-compliant Ford Cosworth FVC powerplant rated at 281 horsepower.

Find this 1970 Chevron B16 FVC for sale from Legends Automotive with price available upon application.
