Want to get vintage race something really fast, but don’t want to have to prepare a car? This Lola T-298 is ready to race following extensive upkeep and a no expense spared restoration.

Reported to be the sixth T-298 ever built by Lola, the racer was originally delivered to Italian driver Mauro Nesti. Under Nesti’s care, the Lola would nab podium finishes at the Vallelunga and Varano circuits plus the Trento Bondone and Coppa Teodori hillclimbs.

The current owner, who purchased the car in 2013, is reported to have fastidiously maintained T-298, with a significant restoration taking place from 2015 through 2017 that saw the tub reskinned, suspension rebuilt, and electrical systems redone. Following the restoration, a brand-new BMW M21 engine was fitted to the Lola.

The seller also notes the T-298 comes accompanied by FIA papers and a spares package that includes two radiators, various suspension parts, several sets of wheels and replacement body panels for both the front and the rear of the car.
