When the Ferrari 250 GT didn’t live up to Ferruccio Lamborghini’s expectations, he simply started his own car company. And thus, Lamborghini was born.

The first car, the 350 GT, was a V12-powered grand touring car that was likely meant to compete directly with contemporary Ferrari models.

This one, a 400 GT 2+2, is essentially an improved version of the 350. Power went up from about 280 horsepower to around 320, and the revised body could now seat four people.
