If you look up “beauty” in the automotive dictionary, assuredly this 1938 Talbot-Lago T150 C Lago Spéciale Teardrop Coupé will be one of the examples that comes up. It’s the only Figoni Teardrop Coupé to be built on the T150 C Lago Spéciale chassis.
The special-order body comes with unique features specified by its first owner, racer and banker Antione Schumann. Bespoke details included the bleu “Tango” irisée noire color, three-abreast seat upholstered in Havana leather, free-standing headlights, full sliding sunroof and much more. The seller notes you can still find traces of the original dark blue paint behind the dashboard and inside the glovebox.
Not only did this 1938 Talbot-Lago look elegant, it was fast, too. It was a class winner at the 1948 Belgian Gand Prix and the 24 Hours of Spa.
