What’s an X83 Porsche 911 Turbo S Flachbau? The X83 designates that this 964-generation 911 was delivered to Japan. The German automaker only made 10 of these examples, and this is one of them.

As production of the 964 wound down, Porsche sent the remaining 93 Turbos in inventory to its Exclusive Department. Ten of these became the X83 models. They were left-hand drive and finished in Polar Silver Metallic over a Black leather interior.

What made the Japanese versions different? They had the pop-up headlight configuration used in the 930 S Flatnose models from 1983-1989. Plus, only the X83 had running-board-style side skirts and rear fender intakes with horizontal satin black blades. Options specific to this example include an electric sliding sunroof, tinted windshield, 18-inch Speedline for Porsche three-piece modular wheels, model designation delete, and equipment for Japan.

Find this 1994 Porsche 964 Turbo S Flachbau X83 for auction at Gooding & Company, with an estimated value of $1,000,000-$1,250,000.
