What happens when you take the concept for the original Mini, but put the engine in the back? The Hillman Imp, essentially.

Designed as the Rootes Group’s response to the Mini, production of the Imp spanned three generations from 1963 through 1976.

This example from is Mark II model, offered as a fully restored car with only 26,000 miles on the clock.
