If less than 400 examples of a sports car are produced, you’d consider that exclusive and at least somewhat desirable, right? But what about if it’s a Neoclassic recreation car?

Enter the Panther J72. Produced by Surry, United Kingdom-based Panther Westwinds, this particular car combines pre-war looks with power coming from a 4.2-liter XK inline-six engine.

As well, the Panther shows only 4750 miles and comes fitted with adjustable coil-over suspension.

Find this 1973 Panther J72 for sale from Wire Wheel Classic Sports Cars for $44,900.

I've owned one of these for a long time. They are extremely well made, all by hand. The alloy body is fitted over a steel bird cage and a substantial box frame, only the floor boards are wood. Pre 1977, the front and rear axels are "live" on four bar and panhard rod suspension with coil overs. This gives a classic ride and handles very well, like 1950's open wheel cars. The 4.2 Jag engine and trans are bullet proof and can be tuned to 240 hp. There is ample leg room for big guys, unlike the Jags. a huge bargain.
