Family cars don’t always have to be boring. Take, for example, this 1966 Chevrolet Impala Station Wagon.

Billed as a numbers-matching example, the Chevy comes powered by a 427 cubic-inch V8 that’s backed by a four-speed manual gearbox.

The seller also notes the Impala underwent a “complete frame off restoration,” and even comes with the original brochure, Chevrolet catalog and Protect-O-Plate.

Find this 1966 Chevrolet Impala Station Wagon up for auction from Vicari Auction. As a point of reference, Hagerty currently values an Impala wagon of this vintage fitted with the 427 V8 in No. 2 condition at $30,500.

Can you imagine the couple that might've ordered this?  She says they need a family vehicle with the kids and he's a die hard car guy? Or the other way around?

What a great car.
