“You miss 100% of the shots you never take,” said NHL legend Wayne Gretzky. So, why not take a shot and buy the 2006 Ford GT once owned by the hockey great.
This GT is one of the only 346 Heritage Editions ever made, carrying the distinctive blue/orange colors that pay homage to Ford GT40 that won at Le Mans.
The Ford GT uses a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 that’s rated for 550 horsepower. It comes with a Ricardo six-speed manual and a helical limited-slip differential. This particular example has only 86 miles on the clock.
Find this 2006 Ford GT for sale from Porsche Salt Lake City, with an asking price of $829,999.
I saw this Ford GT a number of years ago when it was in a Private collection. It then was sold as part of the "Elkhart Collection".

Thanks for sharing! That definitely puts things perspective. That's quite the appreciation from what it sold for in 2020 to what its asking price is today in 2023. I bet that's better than Wayne Gretzky's rookie card!
In reply to J.A. Ackley :
I don't think this car and the elkart lake one are the same car. Different vins and different mileage. Maybe Gretzky had two?
In reply to trappia :
I think you're right. It's possible he had two. I'd bet that he had the connections to get one.
