Singer Jay Kay, of Jamiroquai, certainly loves cars, as documented here, and this 1990 Aston Martin V8 Vantage X Pack is a good example of that. But the celebrity provenance is just the start of the car’s specialness.
Of the 100 or so examples built of the X Pack version, only two right-hand drive ones came in Litchfield Black.
The X Pack may not feature all the tricks that James Bond used in the 1987 film “The Living Daylights,” but it features a bunch of performance upgrades over the standard model. Those features included four dual-barrel Weber carburetors, Nimrod racing-type cylinder heads, and larger valve and high-compression pistons from Cosworth that increased the power of the 5.3-liter V8 to 432 horses.
Find this 1990 Aston Martin V8 Vantage X Pack for auction at Historics Auctioneers, with an estimated value of £355,000-£400,000 (approximately $465,000-$525,000 USD).
