Much more than a vintage open-wheel race car, this Scarab is a rolling piece of Formula 1 history: America's F1 car.

GP-2, one of three Formula 1 cars produced by Scarab for the 1960 Formula 1 season, was piloted by the likes of Lance Reventlow, Chuck Daigh, Richie Ginther and Sir Stirling Moss.

More recently, the Scarab was driven by Brian Redman at the 2001 Goodwood Festival of Speed and has been shown at The Amelia Concours d’Elegance.

Find this 1960 Scarab Formula 1 up for auction at Mecum.

I was looking for something else, but I came across this and thought it was too good not to share:

This very same car went up for auction with RM Sotheby's back in 2022. The estimated value then was €800,000-€1,000,000 (approximately $867,152-$1,084,050 as of today), though the lot went unsold.
