The satisfaction of grabbing the last of an item you desperately need at the grocery store? Well, this 300 SL Gullwing is a bit like that.

Based on its chassis number and delivery date, this Gullwing Mercedes is understood to be the last one delivered.

Its desirability doesn’t end there, however, as before the Mercedes-Benz entered into private ownership, it was put on display at the 1957 Poznan International Trade Fair in Poland.

In addition to retaining its numbers-matching engine, gearbox, chassis, body and even front axles, this 300 SL placed third in its class at the 2004 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

Find this 1957 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing for auction from RM Sotheby’s with an estimated value of $2.5-$3.5 million.
