If you want something truly concours-worthy, consider this 1953 Siata 208S Spider. It’s the very first production example and the third of 35 total examples. It’s also the first fitted with aluminum coachwork. However, that’s just the tip of the iceberg of what makes this car special.

Noted hotrodder Ernie McAfee first owned the Siata. He competed with it in various events, including the 1953 Carrera Panamericana. The car’s been restored to the livery that ran that event.

It’s seen time in the media, making the cover of the March 1954 issue of Road & Track and also the cover of Otto Vu, which documented the restoration of the vehicle. The Siata also presented at the 2022 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

Find this 1953 Siata 208S Spider by Motto up for auction at RM Sotheby’s, with an estimated value of $2,250,000-$2,700,000.
