The Little Red Wagon, a cornerstone of drag racing history, now for sale

What’s the longest wheelie you’ve ever pulled off? This 1969 Dodge A100, better known as The Little Red Wagon, just might have you beat with a wheelstand lasting 4230 feet.

Built in 1977 to honor the original Little Red Wagon, this rendition enjoyed life on the drag strip, as well as spending some time as an exhibit in “Big Daddy” Don Garlits’ museum.

Currently fitted with a bed-mounted 426-cubic-inch Hemi V8 and finished in the iconic Little Red Wagon livery, the A100 is offered in “non-running condition for display purposes only.”

This truck is not a cornerstone of drag racing. It never went down the track. It was built as a tribute to the original Little Red Wagon for the Garlits museum with a non-working power train. I understand the power train is pretty much gutted. It was also not built in 1977 but more like 80s or 90s. Maverick removed it from the museum in the late 2000s and sold it to a private collector. The original Little Red Wagon is owned by wheelstand driver Mike Mantel.
