Many things make this Ferrari F40 GT special. At the top of that list might be its provenance. Pierre Alexander Popoff, designer of the Mugello Circuit and close friend of Enzo Ferrari, first owned and raced the vehicle.
Only 21 examples of the F40 competed in GT championship events. Of those 21, just nine were built to CSAI-GT specifications. During its time racing, this F40 racked up two wins and several podiums.
The F40 was restored to its period racing livery and mechanical specifications with the aid of Popoff’s son, Andrea Popoff.
