Sure, the Dodge Viper gets a lot of praise as a spiritual successor to the Shelby Cobra, but what if you want your Cobra revival to be more of a Ford?

Enter this 1997 Panoz AIV Roadster. Power comes from a Ford Cobra 4.6-liter V8 that’s backed by a five-speed manual transmission.

This one is a little extra special, too, as it only shows 3850 miles on the odometer.

Find this 1997 Panoz AIV Roadster for sale from Wirewheel.com with an asking price of $51,900.

I am really dissapointed about your article on the Panoz Roadster

Does not fully explain the heritage of Panoz.

And leaves out the Esperante, which is the real comparable Cobra, You had promised me an article on the Esperante more than a year ago !!  The Esperante is the one that took our Colors and won at Le Mans  !!!!

Totally insuficient journalism!

I expect the bestest from you. This one dissapoints  !

We're sorry to hear that you are disappointed. We do have a more in-depth article on the Panoz Roadster that also discusses the Esperante and more of the history of Panoz. You can find it in our most recent May 2023 issue of Classic Motorsports.

We'll also be posting it online in the coming weeks.

You'll need to log in to post.
