If you appreciate this Porsche 911, you’re not alone. It was part of the massive collection of Porsches owned by Philippe Aunay, the president of the Porsche Club France, from 1980 to 2004.
Sold new in Paris as a basic Touring model, the 911 is believed to be one of just four cars sold in Sepia Brown, but its color was later changed to Gulf Orange.
While Aunay had many Porsches to choose from, this might have been one of his favorites. He told Flat 6 magazine that he covered 223,000 kilometers (approximately 136,000 miles) with this Porsche. Aunay later commissioned a total overhaul. It was performed by Louis Meznarie, a legendary French Porsche specialist who had built engines for the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
