AC deemed this AC Aceca a prototype due to the company fitting it with a 2.0-liter Triumph TR3 engine. However, it still made its way to being sold to the public.

The Aceca underwent a restoration on an April 2016 episode of the British TV series Car SOS–which also airs on the National Geographic Channel here in the U.S.

The Car SOS team did the majority of the work, though the engine was rebuilt by TRGB. The red leather seats and door cards remain original.

Find this 1957 AC Aceca up for auction at Iconic Auctioneers, with an estimated value of £90,000-£120,000 ($110,000-$145,000 USD).

It's too bad that Shelby didn't make a Cobra version of the Aceca!  That would have been a great all-weather sprts car in the vein of the MGBGT.
