Pre-merger AMG was wild. How do we know? Just look at this 500 SEC.
Not long after it rolled off the assembly line, the Mercedes-Benz was shipped to AMG for significant upgrades.
The 5.5-liter M117 V8 was upgraded with dual-overhead camshafts and had its bore and stroke increased, resulting in a 6.0-liter V8 good for over 380 horsepower.
The car was then fitted with a slew of exclusive AMG modifications, including an exhaust, wide-body kit, “Aero III” wheels, and a 300 kph speedometer.
Shortly before being acquired by the current owner in 2021, the 500 SEC received new fluids, valve cover gaskets and a replacement crankshaft position sensor.
Currently showing just 4943 kilometers (approximately 3065 miles), the AMG won a Best-in-Class Award at the Greenwich Concours de Sport and was shown at The Amelia Concours d'Elegance in 2024.
