Road & Track called the Fiat 8V Supersonic “the biggest surprise of the year” when it reviewed the vehicle back in 1952. Fiat, a manufacturer of typically more pedestrian cars, built just 14 examples of this sports car.
Four owners have had this car, with the last one caring for it for the last 22 years.
This example underwent a three-year restoration that was completed in 2014. That process was heavily documented with more than 2500 photographs.
Find this 1953 Fiat 8V Supersonic by Ghia up for auction at RM Sotheby’s, with an estimated value of $2,100,000-$2,600,000.
