356 fixer upper. LOL!!

Apparently its now listed at $12,750. I owned a couple of these things and absolutely can not understand todays market value for them. I wonder what a door and an engine is worth?

Some of the glass might be reusable, and the steering wheel center cap. But the rest...

I also noticed that the ad failed to identify the lake in which it had been sitting for years.

That dealer has some really crazy stuff. I want to see how they move those cars that are held together by paint and hope more than metal

There's not much to salvage on that car beyond the serial number. I'm surprised it didn't go to the crusher years ago.

Yikes. I guess we all have those "the one that got away" stories. When I first started working at the mag, a friend was brokering a 356C coupe fitted with a Super 90 engine. The car was super-clean. I want to say the asking price was $14,000. There was no way I could fathom that amount of money.

This weekend I visited a collection that included a pair of Speedsters plus a 356C Cab.

That dealer seems to have good prices on their e-types atleast. Considering some of the piles on ebay.

No matter the price, I still think that a 356 coupe is a sexy beast.

Are those factory flared fenders?

I owned one of the first of the breed and the last of the breed, a '55 and a '65 a short while ago.

And treated them both SO badly, that they begged me to sell them . . .
