This weekend our local PCA hosted an open house at Stowers 356. As the name suggests, they specialize in the Porsche 356. Cars in the shop ranged from beautifully restored to ones awaiting their turns.

Neat place. Unfortunately, now I really want one.
Over the weekend I watched the movie Harper with Paul Newman great scenes of him in a 356.

Thanks David ... this was just what I didn't need. I love Speedsters and semi-outlaw coupes, but I've been working hard at not thinking about them. Otherwise I'd lose interest in the Spitfire I'm trying to finish and my vintage car hobby strategy of sticking with the Triumph marque and maybe resurrecting a GT6 or TR3 for my next project would be history. Now I'm confused. A real 356 wouldn't be possible, but now I'm thinking about a nice Beck or Thunder Ranch Speedster. Damn!

That's OK, I'm going to Swedish Car Day at Larz Anderson Museum this weekend, so by Sunday evening I'll be surfing CL for P1800s and 544s. (Triumph what? 356 what? I'm so fickle!)
I know where there's a pair of old Volvos (122 and 142), but I'm not sure if they're for sale.
