Last yr I bought some bonnet locks for my GT6. Any advice on how can drill the bonnet and no kill my paint job?

I want to add a layer of security in case I actually drive my GT6 to work once in a million yrs.

Cover the area with tape so you don't scratch it in case your drill bit skips. Pilot holes are your friend.

Yeah, I have a nice step bit I may use too.

Should I heat the paint up?

Andre: I would rethink this. The locks might push a would be thief to redouble efforts and do a lot more damage. Very few thieves will want anthing from an old classic or even know how to pop the bonnet. Ok you have nice wheels. My worst experience was a hit and run crumpled fender - I thank the driver daily. Also small cars tend to leave extra room for the enormous SUV or P/U that sees more space to park and a swinging door will just about take the top off sports car. Cheers Ron
