I have a ~A 1958, 948cc~ that's been sitting for at least 12 years. It was in an A-35 I bought last year (note the single Zenith carb). It still turns over and the previous owner told be it ran well when he stored the car. The A-35 is going racing and now has a 1275, so I'm hoping to put the 948 in a semi-decent Midget that I also have.
Congrats on getting the engine up and going again! I'm sure it gave you extra inspiration to complete the rest of the project.
