Zimmer was known for its neo-classics–long, flowing machines that recalled the excess of the Roaring Twenties. The company was formed in 1978, with the Ford Mustang of the day serving as their starting point. 

Then there was the Zimmer Quicksilver: a lot of chrome, sure, but perhaps less, well, gaudy. The starting clay for this one? The Pontiac Fiero.
