So after 4 years of pestering my buddy next door to sell me his '73 240Z, I finally got the call I'd been waiting for... "Hey man, you still interested in this old Z ?" Uh, YEAH !!! "Tell ya what, if you can pull it outta the mud it's been sittin' in for the last 7 years you can have it." Thank you, Santa! The clock shows 123,000 miles, and with the exception of period correct slotted mags and a factory color respray it's all original. It even has the factory tags still on the wiring harness. No signs of rust or Bondo. This is my fifth 1st gen. Z in 30 years and I'm thrilled to have it. Proof positive that being a pest sometimes pays off. Cheers, Scott
Nice deal , after 6 or so years of holding on to some butterscotch "classic Industries seat covers for a 240 z " . My buddy walks in the door this morning and says all the Butterscotch vinyl original is NLA , on the Z forums basically end of an era . Cha ching I have 3 guys on the line wanting them . Gonna be a nice Christmas .
I love stories like this. Great score, can't wait to see pics!
Indeed, we want pics! I hope that having it sit somewhere in the mud didn't cause too much rust...
Thanks guys... Message received, action to be taken. Cheers, Scott
