I passed a '67 Mustang during this morning's drive to the office. It's always nice to see a classic getting some fresh air.

The snow is finally melting. On a long straight section on the way home I had a 1971 Olds Cutlass blow past me like I was going backward. It was orange, void of chrome and the bumpers were body color.

Excellent sound!

My parents owned a few of those late-'60s, early-'70s Cutlasses.

It's still too cold here in Southern New England ... low to mid 40s and windy. It feels more like early March than the end of March. Hopefully the warm weather will be here soon. I can't wait to fire up the Miata.

I heard a rumor about more snow this week here in the northeast...

Well, I haven't decommissioned the snow blower for the season yet.

Well, after last weekends storm we had between 8-10 feet in the yard. This week we're getting warmer temps and snow, and the snow level already dropped about 12-18 inches so I'm hoping it will all be gone by the first week in May. However, I should be able to drive the Elan in about 2 weeks after I get my new radiator as the roads look good. I do plan on commuting the 130 miles round trip to work about once per week in it, and it should be fun with some of those great Sierra Mountain twisties in route.

We got a couple more inches of snow last night here in Anchorage. The side streets are still a real mess from the last few snowfalls. But I'm heading for Portland tonight and expect to get the TR8 on the road while I'm there. Hopefully spring will be a little closer when I get home in 10 days, though I probably won't be getting the TR6 here out for another month.

The roads were looking good here. A couple of good rain days washed the salt away, and I was thinking of draging the Europa out of the garage early, but snow on the weekend resulted in more road salt, so it will be a couple of weeks yet for me. Just as well I suppose.... if I start driving the Lotus I wont finish my garage renovations, and I need to finish that in order to do the maintenance on the Lotus. Vicious circle.... (sigh)

Leaving home before sun rise... in a car with 6v electronics... I guess the speed limits around here were set by someone driving a 356 in the dark as quick as it could go without overdriving the headlights too much...

Yeah, more snow for New England tonight. I'm right on top of Rhode Island, so we won't get much, but further west and north, they'll be shoveling again.

Will it ever end? We had significant snow in the first week of May a bunch of years back. I remember this because it was just a couple days after I first went to look at the Tiger I eventually bought...

For 22 years I've been pulling my car out of winter storage in mid April, and almost without fail there will be one last snow storm between then and the end of the month. Go figure.

I drive my Civic to work about 3-4 days per week. It's no garage queen for sure!

Well, my wife and I just pulled back into the driveway after a week-long holiday in southern British Columbia. Our C320 4-Matic wagon with Pirelli snow tires pulled us through the snow patches in the high Kootenays this morning, and a few times I woke up and she was pulling 170 kliks on the clear and dry stuff. I'm shocked, I say, shocked. So we've had quite a commute - and once again proved that the Benz is one amazing all-weather grand-touring automobile.

My regular car is in for some collision repair, (not my fault), so I have the trusty '72 Volvo 142 out again as my daily driver. It's a nice change from the insulated new cars to get back to something more "tactile" for the day to day.
