Of course it can be saved. And why not leave the wide body. I think it's cool. But whats the state of the mechanicals.
They will all be saved. They are just like the Austin Healey or other old brit cars that even a rusty old shell will be brought back and saved.
As a aircooled 911 owner I think it is great that they are all getting saved, and not just restored to concours status, but still being made into cool cars with different touches throughout. I do wish parts weren't following the trend and getting so stupid expensive. Truth be told, parting them out may be where the most money is, 2.7 motors going for $4500, 3.0's going for $6-8k in need of rebuild, 3.2 going for $12k+ with no non history. Certain parts are extremely crazy.
Is it weird that I like the steel wheels with hubcaps? You don't ever see those on a 911.
